Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

FarmPoster respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to delete different types of data from our service.

What Data Can Be Deleted

You can delete the following data:

• Your account and profile information
• Connected social media accounts and access tokens
• Uploaded videos and content
• Post history and status
• All associated metadata

Option 1: Delete Specific Data (Recommended)

Disconnect Social Media Accounts

1. Log in to your FarmPoster account
2. Go to Dashboard → Accounts
3. Click "Disconnect" next to any connected account
4. Confirm the disconnection

Delete Specific Posts

1. Go to Dashboard
2. Find the post you want to delete in "Recent Posts"
3. Click the delete button (if available)

Option 2: Delete All Data (Account Deletion)

Method A: Through Dashboard

1. Log in to your FarmPoster account
2. Go to Account Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
4. Read the warning carefully
5. Type your email address to confirm
6. Click "Permanently Delete Account"

Method B: Email Request

If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion via email:

1. Send an email to privacy@farmposter.com
2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
3. Include your registered email address
4. Provide any additional account information to verify your identity
5. We will process your request within 30 days

What Happens After Deletion

Immediate Effects

• Your account is immediately deactivated
• All access tokens are revoked
• You can no longer log in
• Active uploads are cancelled

Within 30 Days

• All videos are deleted from our storage
• All database records are permanently removed
• All backups containing your data are purged
• Your email is added to a deletion list (to prevent re-use)

Data Retention Exceptions

We may retain minimal data for:

• Legal compliance (up to 7 years if required by law)
• Fraud prevention and security (anonymized)
• Technical logs (automatically deleted after 90 days)

Content on Social Media Platforms

Important: Deleting your FarmPoster account does NOT delete content from YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram. To remove posted content:

• YouTube: Go to YouTube Studio → Content → Delete videos
• TikTok: Open your profile → Select videos → Delete
• Instagram: Go to your profile → Select Reels → Delete

Third-Party Data

FarmPoster uses third-party services. To delete data from these services:

• Clerk (Authentication): Automatically deleted when you delete your FarmPoster account
• Google (YouTube): Revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions
• TikTok: Revoke access in TikTok Settings → Privacy → Apps and Websites
• Meta (Instagram): Revoke access at facebook.com/settings

Data Export (Before Deletion)

Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data:

1. Email privacy@farmposter.com with subject "Data Export Request"
2. We will send you a ZIP file containing:
   • Your account information (JSON)
   • List of connected accounts (JSON)
   • Post history and metadata (JSON)
   • Note: Videos are NOT included due to size limitations
3. You will receive the file within 7 business days

Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we verify all deletion requests:

• Requests from logged-in users are processed immediately
• Email requests require identity verification (we may ask for additional information)
• We will send a confirmation email once deletion is complete
